The Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs is a photography group in Lycoming County, PA.
In addition to monthly meetings, the Shutterbugs conduct two (2) yearly photo shows. Meetings are held at the Thomas Taber Museum in Williamsport, PA
In May, our Photography Group sponsors a Fine Arts Juried Photo Show. This show is open to anyone. The entries are judged by three professional photographers and/or artists. Cash prizes are awarded (over $950), making it the largest prize money awarded show in the area. Typically, the number of entries for this show far exceed the wall space available. So simply being selected to be in the show is an honor.
In the fall, the Shutterbugs hold their Members Photo Show. Ribbons are awarded by a panel of three member judges as well as a popular vote of those attending the show’s opening.
All shows have a grand opening celebration featuring a wine & cheese reception. Some of the proceeds benefit the Lycoming County Historical Society.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Shutterbug members are also involved in volunteering their photographic skills to the community.
