About Harland:

My interest in photography started in 1980 when I purchased my first camera, a Canon AE-1 35mm film camera. At the time and on my limited budget film was expensive then and setting up my own developing lab was out of the question although the desire was always there.

In 1996 I purchase my first digital camera a Kodak DC-40. This along with my interest in computers seemed to be a perfect fit. I’ve been building my own computers since the mid 90’s.  Digital cameras, PCs and Lightroom helped make the developing lab I wanted a reality.

Now, many years later, I have several Canon DSLR’s, a mirrorless Sony, and a lot of other stuff.  I still build and upgrade my own computers, love gadgets and most of all love photography.

My favorite type of photography is street photography followed by headshots, landscape, and real estate.

The photos in this gallery were all taken this year. I’ve posted some of my favorite street shots and a few landscapes. To see more of my photos you can visit my website at photosbyharland.com.
