A few words from Jim:
Born and raised in the mountains of Pennsylvania, I am now retired after over 40 years in healthcare administration. I have always loved photography, and began shooting and developing black and white images in high school. Since then I have used just about every camera make and model and changed from film to digital in 2003. To me the art of photography is to capture what I see and to use a creative process to share my unique vision with others.
I concentrate primarily on outdoor photography including landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and architecture. Essentially I look for anything interesting and unique to capture and share. I joined the Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs in 2018. As a result, I have been exposed to amazing talent that has inspired me even more to explore the art form I enjoy. The camaraderie and learning experiences will help me to further develop my skills in photography.
I shoot with Sony cameras, the Alpha 7 III (full format) and the Alpha 6500 using a wide variety of lenses.
