May 2019 – Robert Barrett
As a teenager, I enjoyed hiking and backpacking. I always wanted to bring back some of the sights that I saw along the way. That led me to buying my first camera, a Pentax K1000 film camera. That camera was a tank and served me well for many years. It was later replaced by a Nikon film camera.
My first venture into the digital world was a Nikon 70Ds camera with a kit lens. The equipment list has continued to grow and currently I shoot a Nikon D4 with a wide variety of Nikon lenses.
My favorite genre is still nature and wildlife although I enjoy a wide variety of photographic subjects. Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs allows me the opportunity show some of my images at a number of photo exhibitions throughout the year and provides a variety of learning experiences to continue my growth as a photographer.
