Bob’s journey in photography started in 2000 with a simple disposable 35 mm camera and a desire to show family and friends the sights from a trip to New England. After a photo of a moose didn’t turn out as expected, he decided to upgrade to an SLR and learn how to use it. He practiced making images of his family over the next 8 years. In 2008, he made the switch to digital. Numerous books and videos were studied over the years in an effort to teach himself the technical aspects of the equipment and techniques used to create high quality images. Bob has participated in the Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs both as a member and officer over the last 9 years, which has contributed to his background. His main photographic interests reside in landscape, macro and wildlife photography, but lately has been trying his hand at portrait and sports photography. He currently uses a Nikon D750 and will use it to shoot anything that he can find time to photograph.
