Wayne Palmer is one of the original founders of the Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs. He has had a lifelong relationship with photography starting almost 50 years ago. He was an account executive for Guardian Photo before launching out on his own, starting Palmer Multimedia Imaging in 1994.
Through college, he spent more time in the darkroom than the classroom, becoming photo editor for both the newspaper and yearbook. The darkroom was very appealing as the photographic process and creativity did not stop with pressing of the shutter. This carried over to digital as he was an early adopter of digital photography as well as Photoshop starting with version 3.0.
Wayne has served as technical editor on 15 book titles and is the co-author of Photoshop Restoration and Retouching 3rd and 4th Editions which has been reprinted worldwide in multiple languages. He is a beta tester for Photoshop Lightroom, Bridge, Adobe Camera Raw, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements as well as others software editing programs.
His photographic interests include abstracts, grunge, macros, panoramics, travel and concerts.
His favorite camera is the one in his hands. but he is partial to Canon and has a soft spot for Noblex panoramic cameras which have a local connection.
His web site, which is in severe need of updating, is www.palmermultimedia.com
